What Is CASA?

Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers are trained community members appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Volunteers learn about each child’s unique circumstances, collaborate with families and professionals, and provide the court with objective information and recommendations focused on safety, permanency, and well-being.

Local People. Meaningful Advocacy.

Our program serves children and families throughout Mingo and Logan Counties. You do not need a legal or social-work background—just commitment, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn.
